Darth Vader Visits Disneyland, Violates Three Park Codes Already

On Tuesday, Disney acquired Lucasfilm from George Lucas for $4 billion. The move was shocking to many, especially Star Wars die hards, who are undoubtedly having a hard time stomaching the fact that the same name that appears above The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and Snow White will now forever be tied to their beloved franchise.

One person who’s not sweating it, however, is Darth Vader. Upon hearing the news, he grabbed a two-Stormtrooper escort and made a bee-line for Disneyland, where until Tuesday he would have been shunned as one of the most callous villains of all-time.

Thankfully, cameras were rolling, but the footage reveals Vader might have been a little over-excited at the news. He fails to take into account that he now belongs to a G-rated company specializing in children’s films, not a ruthless, emperor-like control freak bent on destruction (George Lucas).

Though he clearly enjoyed himself, Vader broke a number of Disneyland’s rules, namely the park’s “no weapons” policy, which was flaunted brazenly by his Stormtroopers use of highly dangerous blaster rifles. Vader also carelessly uses the force to extract the sword from the stone (damaging park property), and we’re pretty sure unsheathing a lightsaber in the “It’s A Small World After All” ride is frowned upon. It’s also against Disneyland rules for adults to wear costumes to the park, but Vader’s signature suit could also be considered a uniform so we’ll let that one slide. There’s been no word yet on whether Disney has decided to reprimand the Dark Lord of the Sith for his blatant disregard for park regulations.
