Via Pitchfork: The Red Hot Organization will soon release their latest compilation Red Hot + Rio 2.
The non-profit organization, which raises money and awareness to fight AIDS through benefit compilations and concerts, is ready to release a tribute to the Brazilian Tropicália movement of the late 1960s. John Legend, Dirty Projectors, Beck, of Montreal, Beirut, St. Vincent, Devandra Banhart, Neon Indian, Madlib and José González will appear on the record with Tropicália giants like Caetano Veloso, Tom Zé and Os Mutantes.
The album is set for release on June 28. The Red Hot Organization has previously released Dark Was the Night, No Alternative and Red Hot + Rio. The latter was a tribute to Bossa Nova music and featured Stereolab, Everything But the Girl, David Byrne and Maxwell.
