Bijijoo Painting to Benefit Japan Earthquake Relief

Pork-painting philanthropist Bijijoo is currently selling one of his works on eBay to benefit Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami disaster relief. The artist, who also holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and works as a biophysicist as well as a law firm consultant, is best known around the internet for his oil-painting renditions of presidents holding hams.

However, one of Bijijoo’s most recent works is a portrait of Prof. Fusakichi Omori for his Chamber of Scientists project. Fusakichi was a well-known professor of seismology at the Imperial University of Tokyo and president of the Japanese Imperial Earthquake Investigation Committee. He is particularly revered for his study of aftershocks and the development of Omori’s law.

All proceeds from the sale of the painting will go to Red Cross. The auction ends on March 24 at 2:30:51 p.m. PDT.
