Back in August, we learned that former Simpsons writer and “Marge vs. the Monorail” scribe Conan O’Brien would be performing “The Monorail Song” live as part of The Simpsons Take the Bowl, a three-night stage show celebrating everything Springfield. Today, you can check out footage of that performance, which (although car-less) is absolutely genuine, bona fide and electrified.
Backed by the Los Angeles Gay Men’s Choir, O’Brien donned his Music Man finest to take over the role originally played by the late Phil Hartman. Sadly, there are no planned future dates of The Simpsons Take the Bowl, so you can’t catch the show in person, but this is the definitely next best thing. Check it out above.
