Dana Carvey’s been doing stand-up for a long time. The 60-year-old comedian first made a name for himself as a Saturday Night Live cast member in the ‘80s, doing impressions ranging from George H.W. Bush to an elderly church woman.
Now, Carvey has a new, hourlong Netflix special, and the trailer gives us a sense of exactly what he’ll discuss, including politics, Bill Cosby and stories from his own life. Carvey’s incredible array of impressions has made his voice a relevant one, even today.
Dana Carvey: Straight While Male, 60 was filmed at the Wilbur Theater in Boston. During the special, Carvey reveals his inspiration for Garth from Wayne’s World and describes what it’s like to perform for Bill Gates. Straight White Male, 60 debuts on Netflix on Nov. 4. Until then, check out the trailer above.
