Ellen DeGeneres Is Embarking on Her First Stand-Up Tour in 15 Years

Hollywood’s favorite do-gooder and funny lady Ellen DeGeneres is doing a stand-up comedy tour, her first in 15 years, as she announced Thursday on Twitter—see below. “An Evening With Ellen DeGeneres” is happening this August.

It’ll be a brief run, but even if you can’t make it to Seattle, San Francisco or San Diego to witness the comedian’s performances live, you needn’t worry. According to THR, she’ll be taping her previously promised Netflix special in Seattle, so everyone will be able to experience “An Evening With Ellen DeGeneres” in all its glory. The special is expected to air on the streaming platform later this year. Meanwhile, catch us tuning into The Ellen DeGeneres Show on the daily and rewatching DeGeneres’ stellar HBO special Ellen DeGeneres: Here and Now, which she filmed in 2003, prior to taking over her daytime TV reign.

The tour kicks off Aug. 10 in San Diego and finishes Aug. 23 in Seattle. Live Nation is backing the events, and tickets will go on sale to the general public June 22 on LiveNation.com. Find all the dates below.
