Today I have been thinking about this old Picnicface sketch for all of the obvious reasons. Remember that movie about the button? It was called The Box. I never saw it but I remember the trailer with the same vague nostalgia—does it count as nostalgia if the thing happened in 2009?—that I associate with the movie Salt, which I also never saw. The whole marketing strategy for that movie was the question: “Who is Salt?” And then all the trailers for The Box were like, “Ahhhh, are they gonna press it? Are they?? Are they gonna press the button? The button in the box??” Well guys, I never found out who Salt is or if they pressed it or who died when they did, but I do love this sketch. Okay, cool.
