Margot Robbie Will Host the Season Premiere of SNL

Comedy News Margot Robbie

Margot Robbie is coming off a summer packed with middling films like Suicide Squad and The Legend of Tarzan, ones in which she was usually the best part. Now, Robbie has decided it’s time for her to be the best part of something else. The Australian actress will be hosting the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Oct. 1.

Robbie will be hosting the show with musical guest The Weeknd, which may explain why he recently moved his time slot at the Meadows Festival. Expectations are somewhat mixed for the season premiere, which will come after a summer filled with the announcement of both cast departures and new recruits.

Coming the first Saturday after the first Presidential debate, we’re almost guaranteed to get a sketch focused on that particular showdown. Given the fact that Robbie is hosting, we’ll likely also get a Suicide Squad sketch, which begs the incredibly interesting and likely unanswerable question—who will play the Joker?
