Kristen Wiig Set to Host Saturday Night Live with Musical Guests The xx

Dave Chapelle is making an epic return to sketch comedy this weekend with his SNL hosting gig, which seems like the kind of thing that’s hard to follow. Luckily for us all, Kristen Wiig exists. The SNL alum will return to the show next Saturday as its host alongside musical guests The xx.

This will be Wiig’s second time hosting the show since she left the cast in 2012. Her return will hopefully bring with it a reprisal of some of Wiig’s most memorable characters, including Gilly, Target Lady, Dooneese and Aunt Sue.

Whatever the show may bring, it’s safe to say that Wiig will be a welcome presence in every sketch. After all, she was the show’s breakout star before leaving to pursue a career on the silver screen. Kristen Wiig will host SNL on Nov. 19.
