Stephen Colbert Atones for Embarrassing Himself in Front of George Lucas

This is great—Stephen Colbert, Star Wars fanatic, once had George Lucas on his show back when he hosted The Colbert Report. It was a dream come true, at least for his 14-year-old self, but as he says, there was a “hitch.” Off air, he referred to a key piece of Star Wars weaponry by the wrong name, but he did it on purpose—it was a reference to an older version of the script. Lucas didn’t catch the reference, and left before Colbert had a chance to explain himself. Watch Colbert tell the story in the video above, and try to make it right all these years later.
