Maybe hosting a TV show isn’t like riding a bicycle. Maybe you don’t want to get too rusty if you’ve had some time off, especially if you’re stepping into one of the highest profile gigs on TV. Or maybe Stephen Colbert just realizes the viral allure of famous people doing small-scale stuff in out-of-the-way markets. Either way, the incoming host of CBS’s The Late Show hosted a 40 minute public access talk show in Monroe, Michigan, where he learned about Monroe (population 20,733) and interviewed the Wolverine State’s own Eminem. Colbert’s regular drip feed of videos since his site launched has been invaluable to Nation fans in withdrawal, and this is the biggest and best hit yet.
