A Robot Chicken: The Walking Dead Special is on Its Way

Comedy News The Walking Dead

It was only a matter of time. Robot Chicken has been making special episodes that tear down pillars of geek culture for years, and The Walking Dead isn’t just the biggest thing on TV among comics people and genre fans and other so-called geeks, but the most popular show on TV, period. So today’s announcement that Seth Green’s crew was collaborating with The Walking Dead’s creator Robert Kirkman and head TV honcho Scott M. Gimple on a Walking Dead-themed episode isn’t a big surprise. Hell, Kirkman’s already shown up in clay form on Chicken before. Still, Deadheads (they’ve stolen that word, right?) and Chickenites alike have to be thrilled by this news. It might be hard for a parody to be more shocking or disgusting than the real show, but the Robot Chicken people have had years and years of refining their style and can probably find a way to make it work. We’ll find out when the undated special airs on Adult Swim during the 2016-2017 TV season. And you can check out Robert Kirkman’s first appearance on Robot Chicken below.
