Tig Notaro’s Boyish Girl Interrupted Out on CD, Vinyl, Digital in August

Comedy News Tig Notaro

Tig Notaro’s HBO special Boyish Girl Interrupted will be released on CD, vinyl and digital outlets on Aug. 19 via Secretly Canadian.

The comedian, known for her deadpan humor, touches on some personal tragedies along with everyday observations in the special: from the death of mother and her battle with breast cancer (which left her with double mastectomy scars she’s not shy about showing off), to TSA screenings and hunting down the perfect Santa Claus.

Notaro has been racking up laughs and making a bold name for herself in comedy since 2011 with the release of Good One. Her now-legendary sophomore stand-up album, Live, received a Grammy nomination, and she currently has a TV series, One Mississippi, in development with Amazon. As if she’s not had enough to do, Notaro also recently released a memoir called I’m Just a Person via HarperCollins imprint Ecco Press.

Boyish Girl Interrupted will be out Aug. 19. In the meantime, find our review of the special here (spoiler: we loved it and it’s no. 1 on our list of the Best Comedy Stand-up Specials of 2015), and the track list below.
