Titan Comics’ Sherlock Manga Is Coming to America

Comics News Sherlock

Titan Comics is finally bringing that famous Sherlock manga to the states, marking the first time its been officially offered to the western market.

Plans to bring the Japanese-style comic book adaptation of BBC’s hit series Sherlock to the United States were originally announced last month, but last week Titan released a slew of variant covers for those too eager to wait for the issue’s June 8 release.

The comic first debuted in Japan four years ago through Young Ace magazine. The first issue, which features a handful of variant covers, adapts the first episode in the Sherlock series, “A Study In Pink.” The original cover was drawn and written by artist Jay, and features series’ star Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sherlock drawn in rather vampiric-looking manga-style.

Fans can expect more than just the original comic to accompany the Titan Comics debut. Each issue will be over-sized and feature bonus covers just like issue #1. You can check out several of issue #1’s variant covers below.
