Valiant’s War-Monger Returns Next February in The Forgotten Queen

Valiant Entertainment has announced the return of War-Monger with the forthcoming The Forgotten Queen. The four-issue mini-series is being written by former Paste contributor and Euthanauts writer Tini Howard, with art from Amilcar Pinna, most recently of Marvel’s Generation X.

Originally created by Matt Kindt and Pere Perez for the Unity event, War-Monger is a fan-favorite villain with a vengeance. According to the series’ first solicitations, she’s a witch who traveled along with the Mongol Empire. Her powers could turn any warrior into a berserker—a War-Monger. In The Forgotten Queen, readers will see where War-Monger came from, as well as where she stands in the Valiant universe now, making it a great jumping-on point for anyone interested in the character.

When the announcement was made public, Howard went to Twitter to shed some more light on plans for The Forgotten Queen.

Pinna’s cover is online below, and you can check out Kano’s issue one cover further down. Keep scrolling for a preview of the series’ first few pages, with art by Amilcar Pinna and Ulises Arreola. Look for The Forgotten Queen to hit shelves February of next year.
