Interstellar is Christopher Nolan’s latest chapter in his unending series about the intelligent, wounded men who just want to achieve the impossible, despite what Micheal Caine tells them in slow, fatherly tones. Unsurprisingly for a movie that deals heavily in Einstein’s Relativity of Time (as no other feature film before, according to Neil deGrasse Tyson), initial viewers of the flick have been confused over what—and when—exactly happened.
Luckily, not one but two intrepid graphic designers are here to be your sarcastic robot that looks like a tumbled Jenga tower, guiding you through erstwhile environments on your quest to achieve what you set out to do, dammit!
Turkish designer Dogan Can Gundogdu’s “Interstellar Timeline” reduces Nolan’s twisty plot into elegant right angles, while Reddit user sto-ifics42 has brought the complexity to forefront, marking every tesseract use and parallel timeline in the film.
Both inforgraphics are full of spoilers, naturally. But don’t let that keep you from your destiny.
