A History of Warner Brothers Logos

Warner Brothers has changed its logo 13 times since 1923 and created over 200 different themed variations to appear in films. Some of the designs have reflected shifts in ownership, while others were attempts to refresh the classic company’s look.

In 1966, Jack Warner sold the studio and its music business to Seven Arts, Inc., which resulted in a dramatic facelift to the Warner Brothers brand. However, the logo changed yet again three years later, when Kinney Services bought the company and changed the corporate name. Since 1984, Warner Brothers has kept the shield and clouds in their logo, but have changed the corporate names below the shield. The logos displayed here are captioned with the years they were in use.
