Wes Anderson's Taste in Color

Wes Anderson has created visual masterpieces with each of his films by using different aspect ratios, symmetry and bright color palettes.

A blog called Wes Anderson Palettes has recently surfaced, breaking down the color schemes used in several frames from Anderson’s films. Color palettes may seem like an obscure aspect of film, but seeing Anderson’s color choices laid out makes it easier to understand what he was trying to accomplish with his cinematography overall. For example, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou has a common marine theme with blue and orange, while The Grand Budapest Hotel frequently uses soft pink hues.
