5 Delicious Cocktails Worthy of Your July 4th Fireworks Celebration

It’s summer. It’s July 4th. You need cocktails.

Even though Independence Day falls in the middle of the week this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate with a few extra special cocktails.

If you’re trying to figure out what to mix up for the big day, below are a few suggestions along with recipes for how to make the magic happen:


RWB Spiked Lemonade

Ingredients:
1/2 oz. grenadine
1/2 oz. blue curaçao
1/2 oz. lemonade
1-1/2 oz. Van Gogh Vodka
Crushed ice

Directions: Combine crushed ice with grenadine and 1/2 ounce Van Gogh Vodka, add to the bottom of a highball glass. Combine crushed ice with lemonade and 1/2 ounce Van Gogh Vodka and place in glass on top of red layer. Combine crushed ice with blue curaçao and remaining 1/2 ounce of Van Gogh Vodka and place in glass on top of the white layer. Garnish with floating blueberries and a mint sprig.


Bloody Jasmine

Ingredients:
.75 oz. Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz Gin
.75 oz. Campari
.75 oz. Dry Curacao
.75 oz. Fresh lemon juice
1 Dash of Regan’s Orange Bitters
Lemon twist for garnish

Directions: Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coupette glass and garnish with a lemon twist.


Bacardi Cuatro Manzana

Ingredients:
1 part Bacardi Añejo Cuatro rum
2 parts sparkling apple juice
2 lime wedges

Directions: Squeeze and drop one lime wedge into a highball glass. Add ice and build other ingredients. Serve with one lime wedge.


Jim Beam Black Smash

Ingredients:
2 parts Jim Beam Black
2-3 lemon wedges
6-8 fresh mint leaves
1 part Simple Syrup
Splash of Club Soda (optional)

Directions: Drop the lemon wedges in a Double Old Fashioned glass and muddle to extract the juice. Add the mint leaves and the simple syrup and muddle again. Fill glass with ice and pour in the Jim Beam Black, stir to combine. Splash with club soda if desired and garnish with a fresh mint sprig.


Raspberry Spritz

Ingredients:
10 oz. frozen raspberries slightly thawed
1/2 cup light rum
1 bottle prosecco
1 liter ginger ale
Fresh mint
Fresh raspberries
Ice

Directions: Place the slightly thawed raspberries in the bottom of a pitcher. Add the light rum, prosecco, and ginger to the pitcher and stir to combine. Place ice into a cocktail glass, pour the cocktail and garnish each glass with fresh mint and fresh raspberries on top.
