At this point in my life, I’m willing to believe that mango is a magical fruit. Not only is it pretty much the only fruit my kids will eat, but it makes everything taste better, from my morning smoothie to my evening salad. Magic. I doubt I ever had a mango until 10 years ago. Now, they’re everywhere. They’re even in some of my favorite beers. The pulpy, juicy fruit is a popular adjunct for brewers looking to enhance the fruitiness of their already fruity beers. We gathered a handful of mango beers, from double IPAs to easy-drinking wheat beers, in the gallery here. And if you’re looking for even more fruit in your beer, check out our article about grapefruit beers.

Troegs First Cut Mango IPA
Troegs uses Simcoe hops and just a wee bit of mango to help make this IPA an element of tropical fruit. They also make a Triple Mango IPA, which I'm guessing is roughly three times as fruity.

Anchor Mango Wheat
Mango seems like a natural addition to wheat beer, and it works in this 4.5% easy-drinker from Anchor. It's a bit of a departure from the rest of their lineup, but Anchor liked it enough to put it in a can, so that's cool.

Breckenridge Brewing Mango Mosaic
You're already getting some tropical notes from the Mosaic hops, so you might as well add some actual mango to the recipe, right? This pale ale has all kinds of fruity goodness going on.

Destihl Brewery Amra
Illinois-based Destihl added mango to this West Coast IPA to help bolster the juiciness of the seasonal beer. Also, according to Destihl, "Amra" is Sanskrit for Mango, so there's that. Look for it in cans starting right about now.

Carpe Brewem Imperial Mango IPA
From Empyrean Brewing Company, out of Lincoln, Nebraska, this big double IPA goes all in on the Simcoe, Citra and Cascade hops, which are accentuated by the natural mango. Even with the added sweetness, the beer comes off hoppy as hell.

Ballast Point Mango Even Keel
Nobody does fruit and IPAs like Ballast Point. Take a hoppy, session IPA (just 3.8%!) and add a layer of mango to help maximize the sweetness and round out all that hop bite.

Stillwater Whole-icious IPA
Stillwater brews this "wild, sour mango IPA" at Crazy Mountain Brewing in Denver, using mango as well as Citra, Galaxy and Mosaic hops before getting the sour treatment. Then it's dry hopped. Look for this one at Whole Foods if you live in the Northeast.
