Cold weather = prime Netflix and chill weather, or at least Netflix and drink. If you’re planning a cozy night in with your favorite show, the folks at Jim Bean have created a few whiskey cocktails that are definitely worth your attention.
All of these are relatively easy to mix up and could be just what you need while you’re binge-watching a few more episodes tonight.
The Shelby Smash
Inspired by our favorite British gangsters
Ingredients:
2 brandied cherries
1 sprig rosemary
1.5 oz. Jim Beam Black
.5 oz. vermouth
.5 oz. cherry liquor
.75 oz. simple syrup
1 dash Angostura bitters
Directions: Combine bourbon, vermouth, cherry liquor, simple syrup and bitters in a cocktail tin. Too with ice and stir until cold. Single strain into rocks glass with a chunk of ice. Garnish with cherries skewered with rosemary sprig.
Mirror Image
Inspired by our favorite dystopian sci-fi series
Ingredients:
2 bar spoons of matcha paste (water + matcha tea powder)
.5 oz. simple syrup
.75 oz. lemon juice
2 oz. Jim Beam Black
Mint
Directions: Muddle matcha paste with mint and simple syrup until well combined. Add the bourbon and top with ice. Shake until cold. Strain into champagne flute filled with ice. Garnish with fresh.

Inspired by our favorite Royal drama
Ingredients:
1 oz. herbaceous aperitif liquor
1 oz. Jim Beam Original
1 lemon slice
Directions: Combine everything in a cocktail tin, top with ice. Shake until cold. Strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with lemon twist.
