Arby’s is Serving Venison Burgers in a Few Lucky States

Food News Arby's

Arby’s has always seemed a little odd compared to the big dogs in the fast-food game, like McDonald’s or Burger King, and the most recent addition to its menu isn’t certainly about to buck (no pun intended) that trend.

Starting on Oct. 31, certain Arby’s locations will be getting a venison sandwich, made of “a thick-cut venison steak and crispy onions with a berry sauce on a toasted roll,” according to USA Today.

Arby’s Brand President and Chief Marketing Officer Rob Lynch says it will be “100 percent deer meat,” from the hind quarter of free-range, fresh-grass fed deer. The new menu item is part of Arby’s “It’s Meats Season” campaign to celebrate hunting season.

“Bringing venison to our menu also allows us to continue to set ourselves apart from the competition when it comes to proteins,” Lynch said. “You simply can’t find this at other restaurant chains.”

You can see the 17 participating restaurants in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Georgia below that will be getting the sandwich for a limited time.
