A Boston-Based Chipotle Is Shutting Its Doors After Employees Contract Norovirus

Chipotle’s E.coli woes aren’t over yet and we’re beginning to wonder if they’re another Chi-Chi’s in the making.

After having recently re-opened their doors following a major nationwide closure due to E.coli contamination, a Boston-based franchise was closed down on Tuesday. The closure came after four employees reported feeling ill and were all eventually diagnosed with the same norovirus.

“Any other employees who do not feel well will be tested and will not return to work until they fully recover,” Chris Arnold, a spokesman for Chipotle, told The Boston Globe.

The restaurant will be “fully sanitized,” according to the spokesman. But that was to be expected considering noroviruses are contagious and there are basic health and safety regulations to follow.
