Girl Scout cookies are a staple of American cuisine. Everyone’s binged on a box or two in one sitting, or gotten into arguments about which cookie is actually the best (it’s Thin Mints). And now finally, the Girl Scouts are expanding their territory.
Thin Mints and Caramel Crunch (a.k.a. Samoas) are being turned into breakfast cereals. Those are the only two cookies known to be making the jump as of yet, but assuming this goes well, we wouldn’t be surprised to see other flavors follow suit.
The news was first reported by the Instagram account Candy Hunting before being confirmed to Thrillist by General Mills.
Cookies for cereal may sound like a bad idea ,but most breakfast foods are basically desserts anyway, so why not get the best treat there is.
