Beyond Good & Evil Designer Teases Long-Awaited Sequel with Piece of Concept Art

Games News Beyond Good & Evil 2

Beyond Good & Evil 2 is up there with Half-Life 3 and The Last Guardian in the canon of games that we desperately need, but may never see or hear from again. And while The Last Guardian is finally on the cusp of escaping that purgatory, Beyond Good & Evil 2 has definitely come down more on the Half-Life 3 side of that spectrum, with no news or updates besides its one and only trailer from 2008.

But like an oasis in a desert, we may have just gotten another look at the perpetually forthcoming game. Series designer Michel Ancel posted a piece of art to his Instagram showing a man and a humanoid baby pig in a sci-fi setting, saying in the caption, “Somewhere in system 4 … – Thanks #ubisoft for making this possible !” with System 4 being the galaxy the series takes place in.

It’s not a lot to go on, but people have already taken to speculating on who the man and pig could be, with some saying they are series leads Jade and Pey’j’s respective fathers.

Whoever these characters are, it’s a welcome sight to see literally anything official from Beyond Good & Evil 2. No matter how many times we’re reassured the game is in development, it’s still never as comforting as seeing something concrete. Hopefully this means that we’ll be getting a major update on the game sometime soon.
