Blizzard and Twitch Partnership Means More Free Stuff for You

Blizzard and Twitch have signed into a two-year e-sports streaming deal and it means way more free things for you. From now until Aug. 10, Twitch Prime members will receive free in-game loot and deals for Overwatch, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm.

The goodies will kick off with Overwatch. Both new and current Prime members will receive one free legendary loot box, and over the next few months, 10 standard loot boxes. Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm bonuses will begin at a later, unannounced date.

Over the next two years, Blizzard will stream more than 20 major e-sports events through Twitch, including the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship (HGC), StarCraft II World Championship Series (WCS Circuit), Hearthstone Championship Tour (HCT), Hearthstone Global Games (HGG), World of Warcraft Arena Championship, Overwatch APEX League and Overwatch Premier Series.

“We’ve had great experiences and a long history of working with Twitch, and we’re thrilled that this landmark agreement with them will help us bring some of the most exciting e-sports action in the world to Twitch fans and everyone who follows Blizzard e-sports,” Frank Pearce, CPO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said in a release. “Our e-sports communities are vital to us. We know there are millions of people out there who love Blizzard e-sports as much as we do, and we’re committed to making sure they’ll be able to cheer on their favorite players in all of their favorite Blizzard games for a long time to come.”
