BTS Announce Release Date of Mobile Simulation Game, BTS World

The never-ending BTS hysteria—the adorable, nearly genetically modified South Korean boyband delight—continues with the announcement of BTS World, a mobile simulation game that tasks players with launching the virtual band to stardom.

Released worldwide on June 26 (barring the U.S., which gets an earlier release date of June 25), the free mobile game will feature a new original soundtrack from BTS and other exclusive content, including 10,000 new photos and 100 exclusive video clips.

The game puts the player in the role of the band’s manager to complete various missions with the end goal of pushing BTS to become international superstars. Missions come in the form of “collecting and upgrading” BTS member cards and “unlocking stories,” per a press release.

Pre-registration for the mobile game is available on the developer’s website, where each member of the band expresses their ideal traits for the perfect manager:

“Someone who will always have my chocolate milk ready,” says Seok Jin, the humble mukbanger.

“Someone who understands me without saying a word,” gushes Jimin, the sensitive one.

The site includes a playable demo of the full app, which will be available on both iOS and Android devices upon release.

BTS recently appeared on Saturday Night Live and shattered a YouTube record for the most views in 24 hours with the release of their “Boy With Luv” music video.
