We May Get a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Standalone Game Soon

For many Call of Duty players, the best part of Infinite Warfare wasn’t really the epic space battles. In reality, most fans were excited about the remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that came bundled with deluxe editions of Infinite. There are actually several players clamoring for a standalone release of Modern Warfare so they don’t even have to pretend they care about defending Jupiter’s moons.

According to recent rumors, fans may finally get their wish.

Call of Duty news site Charlie Intel today received several tips and images that indicate a boxed version of Modern Warfare could be hitting shelves as early as June 27. Per retailers, some sources indicate the game could be out as early as today, although that would not appear to be the case. The game is expected to sell for $39.99.

Activision has yet to publicly comment on the rumors. We’ll update this story as more information comes to light.
