On Wednesday, Konami announced two remasters for the franchise. Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, two early Castlevania hits, will arrive exclusively on the Playstation 4 as a $19.99 bundle, available on Oct. 26.
Released for the first time in the ‘90s and remastered for Wii U in 2008, Rondo of Blood features nine stages, with hidden levels and a well-loved soundtrack. Players can set out to destroy Dracula as vampire hunter Richter Belmont or master of the four celestial beasts Maria Renard.
Symphony of the Night, sequel to Rondo, follows Dracula’s son Alucard as he sets out to kill his father. This time around, players are able to alternate combat styles, with collectible weapons spread across the map.
Both games are beloved by fans, and well-regarded as some of the best that videogames have to offer. See what you’ve been missing or relive old memories when Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood hit PS4 this October as Castlevania Requiem.
