Remedy Entertainment has released a story-focused trailer for Control.
Zachariah Trench, the former director of the Federal Bureau of Control, narrates the unsettling and intense trailer. The Federal Bureau of Control is known as the front-line force in researching and fighting against supernatural enemies like the Hiss that threaten humanity’s existence.
Control will have you play as Jesse Faden, the new director of the Federal Bureau of Control, who embarks on a personal search for answers as she grows into her role. The allies and other Bureau agents Jesse meets have their own stories, and so does the world of Control itself, which is filled with secrets and mysteries.
The trailer provides a glimpse into said strange world, panning over different areas in The Oldest House, the secret government institute in which the Federal Bureau of Control resides. The video’s description describes The Oldest House as a “flawed, dark, dangerous but beautiful place of power with a personality of its own.” It is a place responsible for the research and containment of otherworldly phenomena. In rooms known as thresholds, hostile forces pass between dimensions and intrude in the real world, gravitating to regular everyday objects and corrupting them. The trailer does a fantastic job of establishing the atmosphere of Control, which looks like a game that might not be for the faint of heart.
