Capcom Registers Devil May Cry 5 Domain, Fueling E3 Reveal Speculation

Capcom has registered a domain name for Devil May Cry 5, which suggests that an E3 reveal could be on its way. The news comes by way of a Devil May Cry Discord server (linked to via ResetEra) that showed that the domain was registered by a third-party group, titled GMO Internet Group.

The name of the group itself is important, because GMO Internet Group has filed domain names for other Capcom titles, such as Monster Hunter: World and Resident Evil 7. The rumor mill has been churning with word of a new mainline Devil May Cry game for years, and those have been stirred up recently due to Devil May Cry’s director, Hideaki Itsuno, stating that he was on the brink of revealing his new game earlier this year.

Die-hard fans have been eager for a new Devil May Cry game for ages and many fans were left disappointed by Ninja Theory’s DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013. E3 is right around the corner, so if these rumors carry any truth, that truth will manifest soon enough.
