Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

Koei Tecmo announced on Monday that Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition will be released digitally on the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 27.

This edition will bring the original Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends game along with almost all of the DLC released thus far for the title, including costumes and side-story scenarios. It will be available for purchase through the Nintendo eShop at the price of $39.99. Players who buy within the first week of the game’s launch will receive a 10-percent discount.

Dynasty Warriors 8 is a hack-and-slash game whose story is based on the 14th-century Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, following key historical military and political figures who represent the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu and Jin, and creating a story of war, control and political intrigue. More than 82 characters are featured in the game, which originally released in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox One. A port of the entry to the Nintendo Switch released on Nov. 9, 2017, in Japan, and now it will make its way to the West.
