Final Fantasy XV‘s 1.12 Update is Live, Preparing for Episode Prompto Release Tomorrow

Final Fantasy XV’s best boy’s chapter is going live tomorrow, but the patch to make it work launched today.

This post on the Final Fantasy XV Reddit details the patch notes. Update 1.12 adds Episode Prompto compatibility, music from the DLC chapter during non-DLC play and the addition of a very special form of the shapeshifting Regalia: the Type-D, which will finally allow players to go off-road and into the wilderness. You can even squash pesky monsters with those hefty tires, but, uh, we don’t recommend ramming into the bigger ones.

Be warned: Today’s update is a big one, with a massive 8.65GB on PS4 and 10.96GB on Xbox One. But, that’s a good sign—content is being added. This tweet shows off that the once-drab snowy area of the main game has been more finely detailed with this update.
