While hundreds of assassins are ready to hunt John Wick down in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, out this Friday, it’s up to you to take him out in the latest Fortnite event.
The new update, which launched Thursday, lets players hunt down other bounty hunters, collect gold, and even become the gun-fu master himself with a new skin and gear. Epic also added a new limited-time mode called “Wick’s Bounty.” In the game’s patch notes, the developers describe the rules of the mode:
Every player begins with several gold tokens. Eliminating an enemy player pays out all of the tokes the target was carrying. The first squad to reach the specified gold token count wins the match.
- Limited respawning: each player has three lives.
- The more tokens a player is carrying, the more visible on the map they will be when moving or shooting.
- The top 3 token leaders will have their location shown on the map & compass at all times.
This John Wick update falls in line with Fortnite’s recent crossover events, though not every crossover has necessarily been legal. It’s also not the only videogame in development involving John Wick: Head here to read up on John Wick Hex, and watch the reveal trailer for “Wick’s Bounty” below.
