Watch the Launch Trailer for Gris, One of the Best Games of the Year

Nomada Studio’s Gris will be released tomorrow, Dec. 13, and the studio has released a launch trailer to celebrate.

As you can guess, the trailer is absolutely stunning. Gris captivated many long before its release due to its stunning visuals—every frame of the game looks like a gorgeous watercolor painting. The game’s title is actually the Spanish translation for the word “gray,” for you play as a young woman whose life has been shattered by an unknown tragedy—the game begins with her world looking like a colorless grey, but as you progress through the game, her life will once again be filled with color. Her dress will also expand and manifest in a variety of ways that will allow her to better navigate the world in which she is lost.

We ranked Gris as the second best PC game of 2018 and the third best game of 2018 overall. In a year that has seen the release of several spectacular games, it’s no faint praise.
