John Wick Hex Takes Aim in Its First Trailer

Sharpen your pencils: The John Wick videogame has its first trailer.

An Epic Games Store-exclusive title, John Wick Hex, will be a “gun fu” strategy game helmed by Thomas Was Alone writer Mike Bithell.

Publisher Good Shepherd describes the forthcoming spinoff as follows:

Created in close cooperation with the creative and stunt teams behind the films, John Wick Hex is fight-choreographed chess brought to life as a videogame, capturing the series’ signature gun fu style while expanding its story universe. Players must choose every action and attack they make, while considering their immediate cost and consequences. Every move in John Wick Hex feels like a scene from the movies, and every fight contributes to your progress on the job and requires precise strategic thinking.

John Wick film actors Lance Reddick and Ian McShane will be reprising their respective roles for the game, and the announcement teases that there are more cast members still to be revealed.

Hex—coming to Windows PC and Mac, and in development for consoles—has no official release date yet, but in the meantime you’ll be able to get your fix with John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum in theaters starting May 17.
