Watch the Kingdom Hearts 3 Opening Movie

On Sunday morning, Square Enix released a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 that is actually the game’s opening movie. “Face My Fears” joins “Simple and Clean” and “Passion/Sanctuary” in the iconic Kingdom Hearts opening theme songs lineup, though this time around, Utada Hikaru has collaborated with Skrillex for the track.

Skrillex is both a friend of Hikaru and a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series. Hikaru has been an integral part of the series through her theme songs—so much so that Tetsuya Nomura, the game’s director, drew the cover of the CD single, which you can see at Hikaru’s website. There, you can also preorder the CD single, which will be released on Jan. 18, 2019.

Watch the beautiful trailer below. It quickly covers the events of the series and offers no spoilers, but if you’d like to see it on your television screen for the first time, we do advise you to steer clear of watching it. Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released on Jan. 29, 2019, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
