A new LEGO videogame was first hinted at in the big Walmart leak a few weeks ago and on Tuesday, DC and LEGO both teased the unveiling of a new videogame pairing the two IPs. Now, with the release of a new trailer, LEGO DC Super Villains is a real videogame that exists beyond the rumor mill.
The trailer, in which gameplay is traded for cinematics, shows some of the more popular DC villains—The Joker, Harley Quinn and so on—bringing about comical chaos to the brick-built rendition of the DC comics world. The humor is what fans of LEGO games have come to expect and, given that the trailer is only a minute-long cinematic, not much else can be mined from it.
LEGO DC Super Villains is coming out on Oct. 16 and those who preorder the deluxe edition will get early access to the TV Series Character Pack, as well as the season pass. It is being released for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
