Majora’s Mask.
A group of animators at Ember Labs is creating a short fan film based off of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Based off the trailer, it’s definitely channeling the creepiness of the N64 classic. The CGI short film is expected to come out later this year.
The trailer is in Japanese. It begins with Skull Kid saying “That mask…Majora’s Mask.” Then he says “Believe” several times, as he picks up the mask. The music, by Theophany, is as evocative as the mask itself. Hopefully Nintendo doesn’t quash this fan project, as we can’t wait to see the final work.
