Oculus Announces New VR Headset for PC

Facebook has announced the next wave of VR technology with the Oculus Rift S headset for the PC, to be released this spring.

The Rift S is said to use real-time, inside-out tracking technologies in lieu of external trackers. The headset was engineered in a partnership with Lenovo technologies for PC gamers, utilizing HD graphics and an extensive games library.

The Rift S will also be released this alongside the first all-in-one VR headset, Oculus Quest, for the more casual, pickup gamer, without the need for tethering wires or a PC.

Both the Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest headsets retail at $399. Watch the trailer for the Rift S below.
