Dr. Junkenstein Returns to Spook in Overwatch Halloween Event

We hope you’re geared up for some horde mode-style PvE gameplay, because it looks like Junkenstein’s Revenge is returning to Overwatch next week. Blizzard announced that their annual Halloween Overwatch event will begin next week, under the name Halloween Terror 2017.

Our look at next week’s event was brief, but we can probably assume a lot based on our memories of last year’s event. As mentioned, expect to see the PvE horde mode Junkenstein’s Revenge make a return, with Dr. Junkenstein (totally not just Junkrat in a mad scientist costume) still being front and center in that brief clip from Blizzard.

We also get the confirmation that we’ll see some new skins in this event—we could be wrong, but is that Van Helsing McCree and Phantom of the Opera Reaper? We’re excited about the many new possibilities.

Previously, Overwatch’s Summer Games event returned a couple of months ago, with Lucioball returning with big changes and even its own competitive mode—as such, we could expect changes to Junkenstein’s Revenge as well. Halloween Terror 2017 will commence next week on Tuesday, Oct. 10, and end on Nov. 2. Until then, dream of sick Halloween skins and loot boxes galore.
