This seemed inevitable for a title as popular and YA-driven as Oxenfree: the game is set to debut on PS4 on May 31, along with an extended “director’s cut” called the Game+ mode.
We already think the original version, released in January, is one of the year’s standout indie titles. The Game+ version is going to expand on the game’s storyline, providing new locations, additional dialogue and alternate endings to the supernatural thriller.
“Fans have become so attached to Alex and her friends, so we created this new Game+ mode to let them impact and continue her story in a crazy way that both deepens the experience and makes it highly replayable,” said Sean Krankel, co-founder of game developer Night School Studios, in a statement. “We want everyone to get lost in the world of Oxenfree for a long time.”
