Pokémon GO Update Will Help You Catch More Rare Pokémon

Niantic has announced the latest new feature coming to Pokémon GO and it’s certainly a welcome one.

When you catch enough Pokémon of a certain type you’ll now earn a medal that will confer benefits towards catching other Pokémon of the same type. So the more Fire-type Pokémon you catch, the better you’ll be at catching other Fire-type Pokémon. The most notable practical benefit of this being that when you run into a rare Pokémon, you’ll have a better chance at catching it, thanks to your medals.

There’s no word on when the update will launch, but expect it sometime soon.
