Data Suggests Pokémon GO‘s Popularity is on the Decline

It appears that the honeymoon is over for the once all-consuming Pokémon GO, which lost more than 15 million daily users over the course of a month, according to a graph from Axiom Capital Management published by Bloomberg. The graph stops on Aug. 18, but the game’s declining trend ostensibly continued past that date.

The augmented reality app once dominated the App Store, skyrocketing to the top of the highest-grossing apps list in an unprecedented half a day, but it has since dropped out of the free app top ten, currently sitting at number eleven. With that said, Pokémon GO is still the top-grossing app, and a dip in popularity was to be expected after the insanity that surrounded the game’s initial launch.
