Death Is Not the End in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Launch Trailer

The launch trailer for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice—the award-winning new title from Bloodborne and Dark Souls creators FromSoftware—is all fire, snow, steel and blood, a violent and visually stunning new look at one of E3 2018’s most exciting games.

A single-player, third-person action-adventure game with RPG elements, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice puts players in the role of its title character Sekiro, aka the “One-armed Wolf,” a hardhearted shinobi warrior who—after being disgraced, disfigured and saved from death’s door—must rescue his young master, a lord descended from an ancient bloodline, and take revenge on his arch-nemesis, a shadowy Ashina samurai. Set in the dark and twisted world of late 1500s Sengoku Japan, the game pits Sekiro against massive and monstrous foes, putting an arsenal of deadly prosthetic weapons and powerful ninja abilities at his fingertips, and forcing the player to master stealth and vertical traversal as well as brutal, bloody hand-to-hand combat.

Kill and be killed when Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and published by Activision, launches for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 22. Watch the game’s new trailer below.
