Rumors Point to Remastered Skyrim Announcement During E3

With E3 less than a week away, rumors and announcement predictions are beginning to level up.

Recently, the internet has turned its collective attention to titan game company Bethesda. According to internet rumors, the Maryland developer could be unveiling a newly remastered Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the PS4 and Xbox One during its upcoming E3 press conference.

These rumors started when industry insider Shinobi602 hinted on the H.A.M. Radio Podcast on Sunday to “expect a remaster of sorts … for something.”

“Bethesda, y’know, they probably wouldn’t have another conference if they didn’t have the content,” reasoned Shinobi602.

As related threads appeared on industry forum NeoGAF, fellow insider Enter the Dragon Punch, an associate of Shinobi602, corroborated predictions that a remastered Skyrim was on the way and stated that it would include improved visuals, all of the downloadable content and full mod support for consoles in the same vein as Fallout 4.

Bethesda’s E3 press conference will be this Sunday, June 12 at 10 p.m. EST. Revisit our feature on the top 10 Skyrim mods here to brainstorm ideas for what to try first on PS4 and Xbox One, in case the rumors are true.
