Nintendo’s next Direct broadcast is narrowing its sights on forthcoming summer title Splatoon 2. Catch all the ink-splattering action this Thursday at 10 a.m. EDT.
Nintendo announced the broadcast today, promising the presentation would focus on solely on the sequel to fan-favorite and surprise hit Splatoon. It’s not clear just how long the presentation will run for, but we’re hoping to see finalizing details on Splatoon 2’s new gameplay modes, Salmon Run and Hero Mode, and more on how Nintendo’s multiplayer mobile app will integrate with the game.
We don’t have all the details quite yet, but we do know that familiar and new faces will come to Splatoon 2, as well as the return of the epic 4v4 Turf War battles the original title was known for. We’ve also seen three new amiibo figures, moves and weapons come to the fray.
Splatoon 2 is due out on Nintendo Switch July 21.
