New Star Wars Battlefront II Mod Immortalizes the Most Downvoted Comment in Reddit History

Star Wars Battlefront II has stabilized itself somewhat, even though it undersold its publisher, EA’s, estimates, but the videogame community continues to drop friendly reminders of their critical view of the game’s practices. The more defiantly hilarious of those measures are products of the title’s mod community. While that dashing all-pink-everything Darth Vader from earlier this year was glorious in its equal amounts of dumb and sassy side-eye directed squarely at EA’s own words, the latest creation from modder Dareedevoki does one better: it immortalizes them.

The mod in question takes the now-infamous words of an EA representative that became the most downvoted comment in the history of Reddit last November and slaps them on the side of the much-derided in-game loot boxes. Now, fans can forever commemorate the ill-developed idea that anyone derides “a sense of pride and accomplishment” from engaging in an ages-long grind to unlock one single, solitary lightsaber man.
