In a walled-off booth at the Star Wars Celebration, Electronic Arts screened the first-look video of the forthcoming Battlefront to a group of eagerly awaiting gaming enthusiasts. In the footage, viewers observe a battle zone. It’s Endor, a planet covered in forests and a large spread of green canopy blocking out the sunlight from above. What ensues is a nightmare of laser blasts, rocket launchers and speeder bikes, AT-STs and AT-ATs in full-speed action as the Rebel Alliance goes head-to-head with the Galactic Empire.
EA announced the official release of Battlefront today along with a plethora of details about various available vehicles, locations and multiplayer battles awaiting gamers worldwide. Much like the similar Battlefield series of first-person shooters, Battlefront will feature modes of play including a reimagining of the squad system that will allow players to partner with one other player during battles and share inventory during critical moments of warfare.

Multiplayer battles for up to 40 players pitting the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire.
Locations such as Endor, Hoth, Taooine and Sullust.
Playable characters include Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
Players can traverse the game on foot or speeder bikes or even an AT-AT.
You can even fly TIE Fighters, X-Wings or the Millennium Falcon.
Will offer a free DLC level called “Battle of Jakku” due to launch in early December. This content is based on the upcoming movie, Star Wars Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
The latest reveal trailer for the title is now up online courtesy of EA and DICE and delivers an incredibly authentic feel of the Star Wars universe through immersive entertainment and photorealistic visuals. Here’s what Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, Senior Producer of Star Wars Battlefront, had to say about working closely with LucasFilm to capture the essence of the series in light of the new film later this year:

For fans who pre-order the game, they will be given a special opportunity to be among the first to experience the “Battle of Jakku,” a free DLC that will launch just before the release of the movie in December. The battle represents a pivotal moment in which the New Republic will confront Imperial holdouts on a desert planet. Taking place during the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor, players “will experience the events that created the massive, battle-scarred landscape of Jakku shown in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Those who pre-order will get the free DLC one week in advance on Dec. 1. All other game owners will have a chance to experience the battle on Dec. 8.
Star Wars Battlefront will launch on Nov. 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
