In case eight new episodes of Stranger Things aren’t enough for you, the series is also getting a brand new game, arriving in tandem with the new season. To cherish the show’s beloved ensemble, Netflix is steadily announcing all the game’s 12 playable characters in the lead- to the game’s July 4 premiere date.
Confirmed already are Hopper, Joyce, Max, Lucas, Mike, Eleven, Dustin and Jonathan. There’s four characters in silhouette remaining, some humanoid, some … not. There’s also, conspicuously, an imbalance in the amount of characters on the two rows, leading some fans to speculate that there are two hidden characters buried in the game.
Fittingly, Stranger Things 3: The Game’s graphics and gameplay style harken back to the videogame consoles of the late ‘80s; in 16-bit, pixelated graphics, you’ll punch, hack, slash and solve puzzles while protecting Hawkins, Indiana, from yet another attack with a friend in co-op mode.
Check out the Twitter thread below, then revisit the game’s first trailer further down. If you’ve still got an appetite for Stranger Things content, head on over here for the latest trailer. Stranger Things 3: The Game comes out on July 4 on Switch, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Steam.
